Alex Guyer Joins IAG Firemark Ventures as Partner 

We’re thrilled to share the news that Innovation Bay’s valued national partner, IAG Firemark Ventures, has appointed Alex Guyer as Partner of the business.  IAG Firemark Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Australia and New Zealand’s largest general insurer IAG. 

Alex has spent the last 10 years working in finance in the UK and Australia, holding roles in investment banking, consulting and senior roles within corporate venture funds. He brings strong experience in investing in companies from the early stages through to the public markets across a wide range of sectors. Prior to joining IAG, Alex was a Principal at ANZ’s corporate venture arm 1835i.

In his role as Partner, Alex will be the new Head of Investments at IAG Firemark Ventures, responsible for deal flow and Firemark’s investment process. 

Alex says of the appointment, “I am thrilled to be joining IAG Firemark Ventures as a Partner and to be given the opportunity to work alongside such an incredible team. I am looking forward to both the challenge and the opportunity of helping deliver Firemark’s strategic priorities by investing in innovative companies from around the world.”

He will join Scott Gunther General Partner and Rebecca Schot-Guppy Partner as partners of Firemark Ventures.
