A globe is whole. It is perfectly full. Unbroken. A total made up of all of its parts. The Globe is Innovation Bay’s hallmark moment. An opportunity to gather the brilliant and ambitious minds of our entire collective to share ideas, triumphs, vulnerabilities, failures. A chance to look back and learn from what has got us to the now and allow us the space to dream, plan and shape the future we want to live in.

Across a unique agenda we will be delivering an event structured in two key parts. We’ll kick things off with a breakfast session from 7:00am – 11:00am at Macquarie’s amazing Martin Place office, where we will discuss the future of our industry with a focus on developing unique, member-led insights across keynotes and breakouts. During the second second we will host a distinctly Innovation Bay-styled cocktail event that will provide you with the space, inspiration and opportunity to connect with the core focus around networking and community building. The break in day is by design to allow you the space for required meetings or deeper, more personalised connections with your fellow members.

THINK TANK SESSIONS 

Future of Investment (with Goldman Sachs)  
In partnership with Goldman Sachs, the Future of Investment Think Tank will give attendees an in-depth understanding of what the investment world is going to look like across the next 12 months. We’ll be addressing questions like: How much is being invested? How much is being raised? Who is raising? What are multiples looking like? What are the do’s and don’ts of term sheets? With a lens on compassion and empathy, both founders and investors will gain tremendous insights. 

Future of Exits 
Our Future of Exits Think Tank will be an interactive workshop on how to navigate an exit process from both the founder and investor perspective. We’ll begin with an expert panel where we hear from individuals from both sides of the deal on successful and not so successful exits, delving into the metrics that matter when it comes to exiting. Then we will dive into a highly interactive session where you get to negotiate the term sheet of a fictitious startup selling to a corporate buyer.

Future of Work 
There is so much to consider when we think about the Future of Work. From remote hiring in the same and different geographies, to increased automation and the adoption of AI, to the gig economy. From contractors versus full time employees, to organisational structure and employee benefits, salary and equity structures. From setting a successful culture, to ensuring a robust ESG framework implementation is withheld. The list goes on and on. This Future of Work Think Tank will be an informative, educational, knowledge sharing setting focussing on how Australian companies can set themselves up for long term future success. 

Future Unicorns (with Main Sequence Venture Partners & CSIRO)
We are entering a new era of deeptech commercialisation. In partnership with Main Sequence Venture Partners and CSIRO, our Future Unicorns Think Tank will focus on the commercialisation of deeptech ideas into future billion dollar companies. What if an already existing billion dollar idea required the skills you already have to launch into the market? Could you be at the helm of commercialising a world-changing, purpose-driven, legacy-leaving idea into a company destined for unicorn status? This Think Tank will invite six of the hottest Australian deeptech opportunities, bringing our collective entrepreneurial expertise, networks and investment capabilities into play to take these possibilities to the next level. These billion dollar opportunities need us! In this unique reverse pitch structure workshop, we are going to change seats, connect and create supporter groups to help build Australia’s next generation of billion dollar deeptech startups.
